The hotel du Val de Mougins is open since May 2002 after extensive renovation works and a total review of the safety requirements. The building which was quite some time ago the site of the hotel des Roches Fleuries and then until 94 of the Acanthes hotel was then closed for legal reasons and had become one of the most popular squats on the Riviera. In a state of total abandonment, walls and gates smashed, installations vandalised, a professional hotelier decided to take on the challenge to give life again to this establishment and purchased it in February 2002.

Work was carried out mostly by the owner himself assisted by qualified craftsmen for the electric, security and plumbing parts. All interior paintings were renewed and the bathrooms brought up to standard.

The choice of decorating materials and the colours was made to give an intimist side to the property but without ostentation. The dominating tones are sunshine yellow that fits so well with the area and reddish ochre reminding of the Estérel rocks so closed. The bedroom walls are adorned with floral frescoes made by Gwen a real roadrunner who chosed that way to pay his residency.

The hotel du Val de Mougins is now well integrated in the local community and fits perfectly within the municipality short-term projects to redevelop this area.
